Kellie Martin is the American actress and film director popularly known for her roles for her role as Christy Huddleston on the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the drama about families Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. She is also known for being the main character in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Martin is the daughter of a department store buyer and kindergarten teacher, began her professional career acting at the age of seven. Her aunt who worked as an nanny for actor Michael Landon's children helped Martin land a role in 1981's series "Father Murphy". Following her graduation from Yale University she began to become serious about acting with roles that she was able to land on the small screen and big. Besides being an actress, Martin is also a talented photographer, as well as a dancer. Martin is the mother of two children and is the official spokesperson for Lupus. Following her sister's tragic death at the age of 19, Martin has worked to spread awareness of Lupus and its symptoms.
